I am so excited to start offering editing and critique services with a special eye on queries and submissions packages!

A little about me
I've always loved working with writers to help them express themselves. I want to help people make your words sing in their most beautiful and in-tune voices. Through the online writing community, particularly on Twitter and Facebook, I've been able to be in community with numerous authors, and somewhere along the way I developed a real love for both beta reading and digging into submissions packages and started seeking them out just for fun.

Before starting to write and edit fiction, I've had an extensive career interacting with words. I worked for several years as an editor and writer at a national environmental organization, where I researched and wrote articles while also managing proofreading processes. Later, as Managing Editor at SQUAT Birth Journal, I had my hands in everything from acquisitions to working directly with writers to larger strategic planning for the organization. I've worked as a freelance writer and editor, working closely with writers on everything from PhD dissertations to full-length novels.

Online via my pen name, I concentrate on writing contemporary romance.  I am currently on submission with my manuscript, BIRDING WITH BENEFITS.  I am a Mentor-in-Residence with the WriteTeam Mentor Project and was the recipient of the 2021 Discover New Romance Award.

I have a Master's Degree in English, with a concentration on teaching writing, from Georgetown University and a Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of Arizona.  I am an activist, ally, and co-conspirator working in the grassroots to protect abortion rights and advance reproductive justice. I am committed to continued work and learning.
